Off Grid Systems

Off-the-grid is a system and lifestyle designed to help people function without the support of remote infrastructure, such as an electrical grid. In electricity, off-grid can be stand-alone power system or mini-grids typically to provide a smaller community with electricity.

Off-grid electrification is an approach to access electricity used in countries and areas with little access to electricity, due to scattered or distant population. The term off-the-grid (OTG) can refer to living in a self-sufficient manner without reliance on one or more public utilities. People who adopt this lifestyle are called off-gridders.

With off grid solar systems there is one very important rule: You cannot use more energy than what you produce!

To design a good working system you need to make a list of all the equipment that you use and the power they consume.

Then the hours per day that you use them and we get a number off Watts that your system needs to produce. This can be with Solar Panels, wind turbine and a (back-up) Generator.  Failing to do this and your system will not produce the energy that you need and you will run out off electricity or you are spending too much money on a system you do not require.

Then you need to look how many appliances are running at the same time to get you the right inverter that can convert the battery power into AC current.

Next thing is your battery bank, how many days off energy do you want in have in storage without using a back up energy source? (generator).

With these numbers we will design a system that provides you with the energy you need. When that system does not fit into your budget we can make the system smaller but you will need to rely more on your back up energy.
